The Verandas Garden & Grounds

Guests enjoy a pleaant stroll around the Koi ponds, seeing the different plants and foliage. The decorative combination of a peaceful pond and lush landscaping adds to the serenity. These magnificent gardens were included in the "Heart of Texas Wildlife Trail" by the Texas Parks and Wildlife and the Texas Department of Transportation. The gardens were deemed an excellent candidate to be included because of the incredible water garden and native Texas plants, flowers and herbs that attract a wide variety of bird and butterfly species. Our gardens have become popular as the perfect setting for intimate garden weddings as they provide the perfect background for photos. Many people choose to be photographed by the Monet-style bridge, the French painted windows, and our witeria-covered arbor above the outdoor corner fireplace. A lovely view of the water garden from the inn adds to the charm during your visit to The Verandas.
