Historic Sites & Other Entertainment

The Verandas Guest House (The Galloway House) is a Texas State Historical Commission historical site.  It also has a Burnet Centenniel historical marker.  Ask your hosts to give you a tour of the grounds and tell you some interesting and entertaining stories about the house and area!  

 

The Burnet Gunfighters perform downtown by the train depot on selected days (around 12:30) when the Austin Steam Train is in town!  

 

 

Fort Croghan is a historically restored 1800s fort including several outbuildings.  They are open April through October on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and during special events such as the Bluebonnet Festival and Christmas.

Local musicians play at various establishments and events throughout the Hill Country. The Burnet Chamber of Commerce has some of these listed on the events calendar on their website.  

 

The Globe Theatre, a restored art deco movie house in Bertram plays vintage movies and holds concerts on weekends.  Check their website for this week's listings. 

 

There is a community theater in Cottonwood Shores (outside of Marble Falls), and a movie theater in Marble Falls.
