Mary again was named the "best chef/cook" in Burnet County and her love of cooking is evident in the breakfasts she serves and her irresistable 'Sideboard Sweets'. We are very proud of these honors and we will continue to make every effort to deserve this distinction. In the News The Verandas was featured on the Austin Channel 7 series "Road Trips" as well as in the Austin-American Statesman "Central Texas Getaways" Travel section in their Sunday edition. We were also reviewed on the front page of the Fort Worth Star Telegram Sunday Travel Section and were the cover photo story in Ranch & Rural Living Magazine and was also featured in "Texas Parks & Wildlife". Our guest house also recently received the designation as a National Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation.
